Nature as a tool for healing
In our busy culture we spend way to much time indoors, we breath stale air and protect ourselves from the rain, the cold, the hot and the wind.
We can become disconnected from life and the cycles of nature and the natural world.
Countless studies have been done on the impact of immersing ourselves in nature, for the healing of depression and anxiety.
Getting in touch with nature is really about landing back into sync with the landscape of the earth of which we live in.
Nature soothes our soul, it helps us feel connected to ourselves and others. We know that when we walk barefoot on the ground it can actually help drain stress from the body. Nature can effect our physiology.
Abosrbing the sound of the birds singing, or listening to a stream of water or the wooshing sound of the wind can have a very soothing affect on us. Helping to bring us back to our natural state. It helps remind us we are part of it all. We are nature.
Our bodies crave fresh revilased air. The wind helps us shift things or stagnant energy and the rain can be cleansing.
Go for a hike in the countryside, go to your local park, walking in the woods, sit by the water. Whatever it is your choose to do make sure to really breath, get that fresh air into your lungs. Let nature replenish you!
